Rich Collection of Historical Arts:

This well-known museum is very big in size. In order to explore all the places and arts present in this historical museum, I would suggest the visitors to use a map. Without using a map or proper planning, visitors can easily get lost in the museum which is more than 2 million square feet. At first, after going to the museum, visitors can go to the left side. After going there, tourists can see sculpture and historical arts from the Greek and Roman times starting from 4000 to 4500 B.C.

In addition, there are some unique statues constructed in marble and engraved in golden paintings related to Greek and Roman Era. Later on, visitors can reach the right side of the museum where they can see “Temple of Dendur.” This temple is a sacred and religious Egyptian Structure. This temple was constructed by the Roman Emperor Augustus to glorify the goddess Isis.

Notable Works At This Museum:

There are some iconic arts present in this museum due to which this place has so much popularity. One of the most famous work is Autumn Rhythm (Number 30). This splendid art is around 8 to 9 feet and crosses 16 to 20 feet across the gallery. This work tells us about Jackson Pollack. In a melodious and sweet-sounding web, the anarchic drizzle of Jackson”s brush is presented in a lively way which draws the attraction of the visitors. Another magnificent work of landmark is Vincent Van Gogh”s auto-portrait with a straw hat. The hot-blooded eyes of the artist represent fierceness and superintended brushstrokes.

Different festivals and events take place all around the year which represent American culture. “The Met Gala” is the most popular event which takes place in this wonderful historic site. This prestigious event takes place on the first Monday in May every year. It is one of the most eagerly anticipated and demanding events held annually. In this event many celebrities, fashion designers, artists, musicians, singers come and wear gorgeous costume designed outfits. This event is celebrated with great excitement and glamour.
